Turks & Caicos Islands Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands 10 Shillings ND (1903-1924) Pick 2cts Color Trial Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 55. Any currency relic from the Turks & Caicos is rare today, as the colony was and remains sparely populated. This interesting Specimen was prepared for the 10 Shillings denomination, and has trial blue hues instead of the typical olives and browns for the issued note. Notice the counterfoil at left: there is a small dotted underline to the right of the word "date", for which a handwritten date was to be written when new batches of notes were to be issued. That indicates that this Specimen could be even older than the date range assigned on the PMG holder. Nevertheless an impressive prototype and quite rare.
