ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 500-463 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 9.66 g), circa 500-480 BC. Ithyphallic satyr advancing to right, carrying protesting nymph. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Le Rider, Thasiennes 2. SNG Copenhagen 1009. A well-centered, complete example, struck on a broad flan. Some minor scratches, bangs and die rust on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
