KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.36 g, 12 h), struck under Lysimachos, Magnesia on the Maeander, c. 301/0-300/299. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; in field to left, lion leaping left; below throne, A in wreath. Price 1985. Good very fine.
