KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 4.20 g, 1 h), Chios, circa 290-275 BC. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; in left field, monogram above grape bunch on vine. Price 2318. Lightly toned. A few light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
