BRUTTIUM. The Brettii. Circa 214-211 BC. Drachm (Bronze, 21.5 mm, 7.87 g, 1 h). Laureate head of Zeus to right; behind, grain ear(?). Rev. ΒΡΕΤ-ΤΙΩΝ Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, wings displayed; in left field, cornucopiae. Scheu, Bronze 13. HN III 1978. Brown patina, well centered and struck. Good very fine.
From an old collection in Geneva, acquired from M. de Mayo who acquired it from Münzen und Medaillen (with an original M&M ticket).
