CELTIC, Southern Gaul. Volcae-Tectosages. Circa 121-52 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15.5 mm, 3.40 g, 5 h), "à la tête cubiste". Male head to right, of "cubist" style; before, two dolphins. Rev. Cross with an ornament in each quarter, including an axe on the lower left. Delestrée & Tache 3263. Cf. Depeyrot NC II 104. Wonderful old cabinet tone and with very sharp details. Some flatness from striking, otherwise, extremely fine.
