From masterly engraved dies and superb. EF. Marcus Aurelius Claudius Quintillus was the younger brother of Claudius II . He succeeded his brother when his troops proclaimed him emperor on the death of Claudius II (AD 270) but the troops switched their loyalty to Aurelian. Quintillus despaired and committed suicide.
