Constantine X Ducas. 1059-1067. AE follis (28.8 mm, 6.60 g, 7 h). overstruck on anonymous follis, Class D. Constantinople mint. ЄMMA[NO]VHA, nimbate Christ standing facing on footstool, wearing pallium and colobium and holding book of Gospels with both hands; IC - XC in upper fields / + KωN T ΔK ЄVΔK AVΓO (or similar, mostly illegible), Eudocia on left and bearded Constantine on right standing facing; between them they hold a labarum with cross on shaft resting on three steps. SBCV 1853; DOC 8. VF for type, large flan, overstruck on Sear Class D follis, reverse legend clearly visible beneath obverse overstrike; dark olive patina with tan encrustation in recesses.
