Napoleon III silver Specimen "Queen Victoria Visit" Medal 1855 SP65 PCGS, Divo-266. 61mm. By A. Barre. Head right / Allegory of the city engraving the dates of the visit. Struck in 1855 to commemorate the visit of Queen Victoria in the city of Boulogne-sur-Mer from the 18th to the 27th of August. Commendably preserved for the type, struck in toweringly high relief and contoured in highly iridescent lustrous accents amidst fully gem preservation. The sole example certified by PCGS to date, and difficult to imagine meaningfully finer or more eye appealing.
