Great Britain
Anne copper Proof Pattern Farthing 1714 PR65 Brown PCGS, KM537, Peck-741. An appealing toned gem struck to impressive depth. As a point of note to historically-minded collectors, Queen Anne herself may have never seen any of her farthings, the dies for which were prepared late in the reign. Accordingly, most examples were struck posthumously. In the late 18th century, this coin was considered by numismatists to be so rare that most contemporary collectors could never afford one, nor ever saw an example.
