Republic Specimen Pattern Centime 1807 SP64 Brown PCGS, Birmingham mint, KM-Pn1, Fonrobert-7483, Guttag-2011, Arroyo-P10. Reeded/Oblique milled edge. A lovely example of this scarce and charming Pattern, surviving in a much finer condition than the usual and bearing an exceptionally strong strike, with the minute details of the coat and hat starkly apparent. Hints of original red-brown tone throughout. Depicting President Henri Christophe in full military uniform, this Pattern was commissioned in England, per Lissade's recent research, as were the Patterns of finer style dated 1808, and as such was most likely produced at the Birmingham mint.
