Mughal Empire. Akbar (AH 963-1014 / AD 1556-1605) gold Mohur AH 984 (AD 1576/1577) MS65 NGC, Ahmadabad mint, KM108.2, Hull-1211 (different date). 10.91gm. A beautiful coin in every sense, showcasing a perfect strike, rendering mountainous calligraphy against luster, gold foil-like surfaces. Despite the characteristically small size of the flan compared to the dies, the piece has been as well-centered as could be desired, with the date in full and the beginning of the mint name quite clear on the obverse.
