Third Series, Type C. +FLOR | ENTIA, stylized lily / S: IOHA | NNES • B •, St. John the Baptist nimbate and mantled, standing facing, scepter in left hand, raising right in benediction. Visually quite pleasing, and a coin which has hardly suffered from its noted cleaning, which if anything has only slightly muted the luster. A rare early emission from the long Florin series, and always highly demanded whenever it is found.
