Vittorio Emanuele III gold 50 Lire 1912-R MS62 NGC, Rome mint, KM49, Fr-27. Mintage: 11,000. Boldly struck and decorated in satiny luster that transitions to a decidedly more watery character to the reverse. Lightly toned and iridescent, with scattered grade-defining marks, primarily upon the reverse. The only attainable date for the type, its fairly limited mintage of 11,000 still vastly exceeding the subsequent mintages of 40 and 30 examples for 1926 and 1927, respectively.
