Mexico
Estados Unidos copper-nickel Specimen Pattern Peso 1969-Mo SP65 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM-Pn205, Buttrey/Hubbard-A131, PL-32 (RR). A fetching design concept for the new Peso coinage that would be adopted in 1970. As such pieces were distributed to Mexican officials at a banquet in 1969, most usually come mishandled. We are aware of only a single example currently certifying finer, a PCGS-graded SP67, with the last in a comparable certification to this coin (graded PR65 by NGC) hammering for $3500 in 2017.
