João VI gold 7500 Reis (Peça) 1826 MS62 NGC, Lisbon mint, KM378, Fr-134, Gomes-9.02. An elusive two-year type that saw only 10,883 pieces struck in this year, with this specimen ranking one of only 11 examples seen by NGC to date. Quite attractive on the whole, we would note the presence of some minor annealing flaws on the king's bust, producing a unique texture, though of no detriment to the coin's overall eye appeal.
