GHAZNAVID: Mas'ud I, 1030-1041, AR broad dirham (3.53g), Jurjan, AH423, A-1620, unpublished type, possibly struck by the Ziyarid ruler Shams al-Ma'ali Anushirawan during the Ghaznavid occupation of much of northern Iran, citing the deceased caliph al-Qadir, almost certainly unpublished, VF, RRR. Mint name largely off flan, but the style and epigraphy is identical to contemporary issues of the Ziyarids at Jurjan, their capital.
