EGYPT: Abdul Aziz, 1861-1876, AR 10 qirsh, Misr, AH1277 year 4, KM-257, without flower to right of toughra, remarkably well-struck example with deep original toning over brilliant lustrous proof fields; this is the only example graded by either NGC or PCGS, a true rarity in fantastic condition with stunning eye appeal, NGC graded Proof 65, RRRR. In 1863 the Paris Mint struck a series of silver and gold versions of new circulation types for Ottoman Egypt without the flower to the right of the toughra. Proof strikings of these are all extremely rare.
