ILKHAN: Arghun, 1284-1291, AV dinar (7.18g), Kazirun / Abu Ishaq, AH685, A-2144B, mint cited as Kazirun in the obverse margin and by its epithet Abu Ishaq in the reverse field, lovely well-centered strike on broad flan, VF, RRR. Both Kazirun and Shiraz remained technically under Salghurid rule, together with an Ilkhan governor, until the death of Queen Abish in AH684. This is the earliest purely Ilkhan coin of Kazirun, better known for Shiraz. Kazirun is much rarer than Shiraz, with no example of Kazirun on CoinArchives.
