(crowned lis) LV∂OVICVS: ∂EI: GRACIA: FRANCORVM: REX (tower) (double annulet stops), small sun above crowned royal arms of France / (crowned lis) • XPS: VINCIT: XPS: REGNAT: XPS: IMPERAT (double annulet stops), cross fleurdelisée with quadrilobe at center. A coin executed with great clarity in the legends, and considerably nicer on the whole than are many circulated examples, even given its time spent in jewelry.
