The Imperial Bank of China, 1 tael, Peking, 14.11.1898, serial number 76703, blue and orange, facing dragons and bank seal upper centre, manuscript text, the reverse in similar colours, Chinese text,(Pick A40a), PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated. One of two notes in this highest grade with the 2 highest grade being a distant PMG 55. Fresh and lovely with faint foxing on the borders to prevent it from achieving an EPQ status. A nice Qing era note.
