CELTIC. Central Europe. Treveri. EL Stater (5.38 gms), "Pottina" type, ca. 60-30/25 B.C. NGC EF, Strike: 3/5 Surface: 2/5. Light Smoothing, Edge Scuffs.
DT-600; LT-8825. Obverse: Stylized head, composed of stars, wheel, and bands that are both roped and pelleted; Reverse: Stylized horse rearing left; V surrounded by pellets above, stars around. Pale gold in appearance, this specimen is struck slightly off-center and does exhibit some minor smoothing, but nevertheless remains quite alluring otherwise.
