Obverse: Warrior, preparing to cast spear and holding two others, on horse rearing right; ΣA below; Reverse: Phalanthos, holding kantharos and cradling trident, riding dolphin left; monogram to left; below, small dolphin left. Nicely struck and centered, this specimen is a great example of the fine style type with high relief. Very lightly worn, it is sure to excite the legions of collectors of Tarentum dolphins.
