HGC-1, 885; Vlasto-773-9; HN Italy-1011. Obverse: The Dioskouroi on horses rearing left; monogram above, [ΣΩ]ΔAMOΣ below; Reverse: Phalanthos, holding crowning Nike, two spears, and shield decorated with hippocamp, riding dolphin left; ΓY to left, waves below. This superior example is struck exceptionally well and neatly centered. Flashes of magenta and orange tone flash along the devices, and an attractive glow of luster dazzles. A clear overstrike, this piece provides intrigue in addition to beauty.
