Obverse: Charioteer, holding kentron and reins, driving quadriga right; above, crowning Nike flying left; in exergue, bird with flapping wings; Reverse: Forepart of man-headed bull right; all within incuse circle. Incredibly elegant and enticing, this tremendous specimen presents beauty RARELY encountered for the type, with the flan of excellent metal acting as the perfect canvas for intricate artistry. The details in the face of the man-headed bull are particularly provocative, with the "fine style" designation being wholly appropriate. As listed in the Ars Classica sale, this piece has "style et conservation superbes."
