HGC-2, 1117 (same dies as illustration); Hurter-52d (V15/R30; this coin) = Jameson-698 (this coin). Obverse: Hound standing right, lowering head to ground; Reverse: Diademed head of Aigiste left. One of the classic and iconic representations of man's best friend in antiquity, this example exhibits a few scattered marks, but nevertheless presents an alluring tone and a well centered and well struck archaic bust of Aigiste on the reverse.
