Obverse: Laureate bust of Melkart right, with drapery tied around neck; Reverse: Eagle standing left on prow; palm frond behind; to left, palm frond and EM (date) above downward club; Phoenician B between legs, monogram to right. Undoubtedly one of the most alluring examples of the type that one is likely to encounter, this elegant specimen presents a great deal of dazzling brilliance and a sharp strike, along with exhibiting very little in the way of handling and a burnished golden nature highlighting the devices.
