ATTICA. Athens. AR Tetradrachm (16.97 gms), ca. 353-294 B.C. VERY FINE.
HGC-4, 1599; Kroll-Unlisted. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left. A serviceable example of the popular Athenian owl type, struck well on a smaller than average flan, the crest is off flan. A bit of granularity to the surfaces, but attractive nonetheless.
Estimate: $150 - $300
