Pr-2909. In the name and types of Alexander III 'the Great' of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; countermark: anchor within oval incuse punch; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; in left field AΣ above KZ (date) flanking cornucopia. Deep and richly toned, this example has an average strike and has seen circulation. An interesting countermark is deeply punched into the design of the portrait.
