CILICIA. Tarsos. Mazaios, Satrap of Cilicia, 361/0-334 B.C. AR Stater (10.88 gms). NGC MS, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 2/5. Fine Style. Edge Chip.
SNG BN-335. Obverse: Ba'al seated left, holding eagle, grain ear, grapes, and scepter, and with head and torso facing, seated left on throne; Reverse: Lion attacking bull left. Amazing with beautiful luster, this example is strongly struck and seen in an exceptionally difficult to find state of preservation. An edge chip is noted on the reverse, but this small detraction does not diminish the Mint State pull of this coin.
Estimate: $400 - $600
