PTOLEMAIC EGYPT. Ptolemy VI Philometor, 180-145 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (13.40 gms), Paphos Mint, dated RY 22 (160/59 B.C.). CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE. Scratches.
Svor-1434; SNG Cop-618. Obverse: Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck; Reverse: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; LKB (date) to left, ΠA to right. This example has a light, silvery tone and some minor porosity and scratching. Nevertheless, very nice details remain from only light circulation and a bold strike.
