RIC-30; RSC-16a. "Tribute Penny" type. Obverse: Laureate head right; Reverse: Livia (as Pax) seated right on chair with ornate legs, holding scepter and branch. This marvelous example of a Biblical "Tribute Penny" is very well struck and nicely centered on a slightly elongated flan. The surfaces are beautiful and remain free of pitting or scratching. An overall light tone that intensifies on the obverse into a vivid cobalt and magenta display on the top of the emperor's head.
