RPC-I, 4174; McAlee-252; Prieur-73. Obverse: Head of Nero right, wearing oak wreath; Reverse: Laureate head of Divus Claudius right; in right field, Γ above EP (dates). Though well-travelled, this ever-popular Roman provincial issue is striking with portraits of Roman emperors on either side. Some green verdigris is noted, though the detail is still strong and the design makes an lasting impression.
