DIVA FAUSTINA SENIOR, Died A.D. 140/1. AE Sestertius, Rome Mint, ca. A.D. 146-161. NGC Ch VF.
RIC-1180 (Pius). Commemorative issue. Obverse: Draped bust right; Reverse: Vesta standing left, holding palladium and sacrificing with patera over altar to left. This Roman bronze offers good details and surfaces that are relatively nice. Some flan roughness is noted on the reverse, but even still, this example is far beyond the normal problems of pitting or scratches that plague Sestertius. To view all items from the Paul C.
