Obverse: Pyramid in reverse, angel holding locket of Nelson with lion laying facing right and harp in foreground, "Victory of the Nile Augt I 1798" in exergue; Reverse: All seeing eye above anchor with Union Jack, surround by Latin legend "Sub Hoc Signo Vinces" (Under this sign you will win). A very beautiful special presentation striking of a medal made to commemorate Horatio Nelson's victory at the Battle of the Nile, with a light and relatively tone free surface and no evidence of handling on this intricately designed medal, a lovely piece for the collector of beautiful medals.
