Commonwealth 1/2 Crown 1656 XF (Environmental Damage), Tower mint, Sun mm, KM391.1, S-3215, ESC-52 (R4), N-2722. 13.26gm. No stop after "THE" variety. Another wonderful and rare variety from this contested series, and despite prominent evidence of environmental damage after likely spending a bit of time in the ground, retains significant detail, likely the result of having been lost shortly after being struck. Accompanied by the original Patrick Finn flip and NGC insert stating "Not Suitable for Certification," likely due to the surface issues.
