Obv: TEPMHCCEO - N AVTONOM[O]N Laureate head of Zeus r., T below neck. Rx: TON - ME - I - Z - ONON God standing l. wearing short chiton, holding branch and cornucopia, T in l. field. Because of its virtually impregnable position on a natural platform near a pass in the Taurus Mountains, Termessus Major was granted autonomy by the Romans and, with Athens, was one of only two Greek cities that during the long period of Roman domination never placed a portrait of the reigning emperor on its coins.Exquisite image of Zeus.
