With Numerous Inserts on Comitia Americana Medals
Clain-Stefanelli, Vladimir and Elvira. MEDALS COMMEMORATING BATTLES OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. Washington, D.C.: National Museum of History and Technology, 1973. 8vo, original printed card covers. 43, (1) pages; illustrated. Worn at spine from accommodating approximately 24 different inserts on the subject (see comments). Very good. A remarkable assemblage of information on the Comitia Americana medals. The small publication by the Clain-Stefanellis is of some interest in its own right, but is common and of little monetary value. This copy is made special by having served for some time as Richard Margolis's file for data on these historically fascinating medals. Inserted within are a variety of clippings from various numismatic magazines and newspapers, photocopies and printouts of medals being offered for sale, correspondence from John J. Ford, Jr. and the Massachusetts Historical Society, etc, Ex Richard E. Margolis Library.
