NGC MS64 | Richard III (1483-1485), Angel, Type 3, struck c. 1485, Tower, RICAD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC : [sic], St. Michael vanquishing the Dragon, rev. (m.m.) PER CRVCE TVA SALVA NOS XPE REDEMPT, ship surmounted by square-topped shield and mast dividing R and rose, 9h, m.m. halved sun-and-rose 2 (Hird I, 4; Schneider I, 498; North 1677; Spink 2152), on a short flan, struck with rusty dies, otherwise remarkably uniform, the fabled 'RICAD' reading beautifully clear, a really bold very fine, and amongst the finest known examples of this remarkable legend error, in NGC holder, graded MS64 (Cert. #6295175-007)
