EVM '.'. crowned square-topped shield dividing E-R, 2.81g [43.2grns], 8h, m.m. tun (Bruun 603 different dies [Southwark]; Ryan 254 same dies; Schneider I, 698; North 1929; Spink 2452), of bright appearance with rim marks at 2 and 8 o'clock suggestive of past mounting, nevertheless residually lustrous, and on a pleasingly neat round flan, almost very fine, very rare and seldom seen in commerce with only seven examples traced.
