JUDAEA, Herodians. Herod I (the Great). 40-4 BCE. Æ Two Prutot (16mm, 3.13 g, 12h). Mint in Samaria (Sebaste?). Dated RY 3 (38/7 BCE). Poppy on stalk / Winged kerykeion; LΓ (date) to left, monogram to right. A&F Type 3, dies O2/R3; Meshorer 46 (same dies as illustration); Hendin 6206; RPC I 4903; HGC 10, 653; Bromberg 23; Shoshana I 20098 (same dies); Sofaer 12 (same dies); Spaer 70. Dark green patina, minor roughness. Good VF. Well centered and struck for issue.
