KUSHANO-SASANIANS. Vahrām (Bahram) I. Circa AD 330-365. AV Dinar (34mm, 7.76 g, 12h). Boxlo (Balkh) mint. Struck under Kidarite kings Yasada and Kirada, circa AD 340-345. bogo oorhrokoo ozorkokoshokoshoho in Kushano-Bactrian, Vahram standing left on ground line, wearing lotus crown with ribbons and surmounted by pomegranate, flames at shoulders, sacrificing at altar and holding trident; to left, trident standard above altar, middle prong surmounted by crescent; three pellets below left arm; to right, χ in Bactrian above tamgha above βοχλο (mint signature) in Bactrian / borzooookoooo o zooo in Kushano-Bactrian, Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing left. MK –, but cf. 718 (for control marks); ANS Kushan –; cf. Cribb, Kidarites 4A; Donum Burns –. Lightly toned, minor die rust in devices, a couple of edge splits. Good VF. Extremely rare, none in CoinArchives.
