PHOENICIA, Ake-Ptolemais. 1st century BC. Æ (25mm, 11.00 g, 12h). Dated Year 10 of the Caesarian Era (41/0 BC). Jugate busts right of Tyche, draped and wearing turreted crown, and Zeus / Tyche standing left on rudder, holding tiller, cornucopia, and palm frond; to upper left, LΘ (date) above AΣY, civic monogram to left; ΠTOΛE/MAEΩN/ IEPAΣ in three lines to right. Kadman 67–8 var. (monogram); HGC 10, 9 corr. (legends); DCA 744; Sofaer 111–2 var. (monogram). Earthen dark green patina, a little off center, flan preparation marks on reverse. VF. Rare.
