CILICIA, Aegeae. Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ (31.5mm, 19.06 g, 7h). Dated CY 275 (AD 228/9). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Large cista filled with grain ears and poppies surmounted by coiled serpent right; large torches on either side; Є-O/C (date) flanking cista. Haymann 158b; SNG BN 2358 var. (arrangement of rev. legends); SNG Levante Supp. 268 (this coin); RPC VI Online 7183.2 (this coin, and plate coin). Earthen green patina. VF. Very rare, only four known to RPC including this coin.
