Anonymous issues. temp. Tiberius, AD 14-37. Æ Tessera (19mm, 3.28 g, 2h). Struck circa AD 22/3-37. Laureate head of Augustus left within beaded border and wreath / XIII within beaded border and wreath. Buttrey –; Kestner, Tesseren –; cf. NAC 78, lot 834 = CNG 76, lot 1370 (for same obv. die with different reverse numeral). Roughness, green patina, areas of smoothing. VF. A very rare variety with a small, somewhat crude bust.
