Vespasian. AD 69-79. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.16 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 77-78. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head left / COS VI in exergue, two yoked oxen left. RIC II.1 945 (R3); RSC –; CGB 21, lot 2387 (same dies). Toned, scratches. Good VF. Extremely rare mule, with the reverse of Titus' parallel issue. This is the second known.
