Vespasian. AD 69-79. AR Denarius (17mm, 2.62 g, 6h). Ephesus mint. Struck AD 71. IMP CAESAR VESPAS AVG COS III TR P P P, laureate head right / AVG above monogram; all within oak wreath. RIC II.1 1427 var. (mintmark); RPC II 829 var. (same); RSC 40 var. (same). Darrly toned, granular surfaces, some shallow scratches, traces of deposits. Good VF. Rare with this mintmark.
