ISLAMIC, Time of the Rashidun. Pseudo-Byzantine types. Circa AH 37-55 / AD 658-675. CU Fals (25mm, 5.15 g, 7h). Type D. Uncertain mint. Struck circa 658-664 . Imperial Byzantine figure (Constans II) standing facing, holding cross-tipped staff and globus cruciger; trace of letters O/Π to right / Large M; cross above; /N/N, [... to right]; CON in exergue. Cf. SICA 1, 508 (for type); cf. DOCAB 8-15 (same); cf. Khalili 5 (same); Album 3504; ICV 126. Earthen dark green patina, areas of peripheral flat strike. Near VF.
