SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Varhran) IV (388-399 AD). Æ (1.82 gm; 17 mm). Bahram bust turning right, monogram possibly flower Iris with three branches, reverse; fire altar with attendants. Flower Iris is associated with "Khordad Saal" and birth of prophet Zoroaster, abstraction of flower Iris is seen on numerous Achaemenid stone carving specially in Persepolis. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice Good VF. Original find patina. Extremely rare issue with extremely rare monogram.
