Sikh Empire, Misl Period (VS 1822-56; 1765-99), Gobindshahi Rupee, 10.98g, Amritsar, VS 1841 (1784), with katar on reverse, Arabic word 'ahd' below (Herrli 01.18.04; Gurprit Singh 01.66.01; KM A20.2), extremely fine, with attractive toning, tiny natural flan crack on edge, scarce with 'ahd' in lower part of legend visible.
The symbols before the date on this coin are particularly clear. It may be that each Misl used different symbols, but their meaning is not fully understood.
